ReWalk Robotics is a leader in the exoskeleton space and is the first and only cleared by the FDA for rehabilitation and personal use. Over 400 ReWalkers use the systems worldwide. ReWalk allows the user to stand upright and have independent, controlled walking. CEO Larry Jasinsky explains ReWalk’s mission is to fundamentally change the health and life experiences of individuals with spinal cord injury. The company is also working with insurance providers on reimbursement policies for ReWalk systems. Jasinsky says that exoskeleton technology is significant and may one day help individuals beyond spinal cord injuries and perhaps extend to quadriplegia, stroke and multiple sclerosis. Jill Malandrino reports from New York.
