ReWalk at Tel Aviv Marathon 2013 Technion Alumni Innovation
Dr. Amit Goffer, a Technion graduate, is the founder of the global company Argo Medical Technologies.
Argo develops and manufactures exoskeletons that enable paraplegics to walk. Wearing the ReWalk exoskeleton system, Radi Kaiuf, a paraplegic injured during his Israeli Army military service completed the Tel Aviv 2013 marathon, walking 10 kilometers.
On March 21, 2013 President Barack Obama was introduced to Dr. Goffer and the ReWalk at a special Israel technology exhibition hosted by Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He also met researchers from the Technion.
TIME Magazine named the ReWalk as standing tall among the world’s top 25 inventions for 2013.
