ReWalk representatives meet with Spanish King, Queen and Prime Minister
Exoskeleton technology demonstrated for Heads of State as part of Israeli state visit to Spain
MARLBOROUGH, MA / YOKNEAM ILIT, ISRAEL / BERLIN, GERMANY—November 22, 2017 – A team from ReWalk Robotics accompanied an Israeli state visit to Spain and presented ReWalk’s leading exoskeleton technology to Spain’s Heads of State in Madrid.
ReWalker Marcela Turnage and Yishai Potack, ReWalk’s Sales Manager were invited to showcase ReWalk’s 6.0 exoskeleton by H.E. Reuven Rivlin, President of Israel at a Spanish-Israeli business summit on November 7th.
President Rivlin spoke at length about Israeli technology during the summit, and highlighted ReWalk as an example of Israeli innovation.
Following the summit, the ReWalk representatives joined a reception where they met Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and the Royal family, including King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia. Marcela personally introduced King Felipe, Queen Letizia, and Prime Minister Rajoy to the technology, and described her experience of using a ReWalk exoskeleton.
ReWalk hopes to bring its technology to Spain for the benefit of the spinal cord injury community in the near future.
