ReWalk Tribute to Jodi Gricci

         The ReWalk Robotics family lost a remarkable, highly-esteemed and devoted member of our team. Jodi Gricci, ReWalk’s Chief Commercial Officer, passed away on October 18^th at the age of 49, after years of struggling with cancer. 

         With her close relationships and focus on our customers, Jodi was the heart and soul of ReWalk.  She joined the company in 2012 as one of the first US based employees, and served in a number of roles over her almost six-year tenure.  She established and managed all of the company’s marketing programs, and built an effective team in the marketing, service and training functions for the company through its establishment in the U.S. and abroad. 

         Jodi was the trailblazer that led many of our commercial initiatives including: the decision and implementation to name the company ReWalk Robotics, much of the support for the company’s 2014 IPO, high-level interaction with the Department of Veterans Affairs in developing a national procurement policy, in addition to establishing our office in Berlin, our first efforts in Japan and ReWalk’s introduction to Australia.

         Most of all, Jodi was deeply invested in working with the ReWalkers and their families.  She was a one-woman dynamo who worked tirelessly to help individuals around the world, befriending countless people in her work in the biotech industry. The ReWalk community was very well represented by her leadership.

         Jodi led an illustrious career in the Massachusetts medical device industry.  Prior to ReWalk, she served as the Managing Director of Soteira GmbH, a medical device company based in Berlin, Germany. Her early career included positions as Marketing Coordinator at Boston Scientific in Natick, and Marketing Manager at Cortek in Dedham.

         This is a particularly difficult loss for me.  Jodi was my friend and colleague for 23 years.  She is a part of my family, and was my professional right-hand across several companies spanning two decades.  Our global ReWalk staff, our business partners and leading medical professionals worldwide had the pleasure of working with and meeting Jodi over the years.  She gave all of herself to the company and our team, and made us better for it. She changed many lives.

         To the ReWalkers and their families – I hope you know how much Jodi treasured working with you.

         Jodi’s legacy to the disabled community and to what ReWalk Robotics will become in the years ahead will always be a major part of the industry we are creating. ReWalk will continue to strive forth in our mission with the veracity and fervor that Jodi embodied.  She is greatly missed, and her legacy will live on.
